Ultimate Breakfast Steak & Eggs with Home Fries π₯©π³
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
For the Eggs:
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Home Fries:
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Steak:
- Rub steaks with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Let them sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove from the pan and let rest.
Cook the Home Fries:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced potatoes and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until they start to crisp.
- Add chopped onion, bell pepper, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 8-10 minutes until the potatoes are golden and cooked through. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Prepare the Eggs:
- In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat. Crack eggs into the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook to your preferred style (sunny-side-up, over-easy, scrambled, etc.).
Assemble the Plate:
- Slice the rested steaks and serve with eggs and a generous portion of home fries.
Notes:
- Serve with toast or a side of fresh fruit for a complete breakfast feast.
