Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs
Ingredients:
- 1 kg pork ribs
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Directions:
- In a bowl, mix together ketchup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to make the sauce.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the pork ribs and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add diced onion and bell pepper to the pan and sautΓ© until softened.
- Pour the sauce over the ribs and vegetables, stirring to coat evenly. Cover and let simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until the ribs are tender.
- If desired, mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry and add it to the sauce to thicken.
