Refreshing Orange Cream Freezer Pie

Ingredients

For the crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter

For the fill-in:

  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 2 cups of cold heavy cream
  • Orange food coloring (optional)

For garnish (optional):

  • Whipped cream
  • Slices of Orange
  • Zest of Orange

Instructions

Prepare the crust:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
  2. Press firmly the mixture in the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Chill in the fridge while filling prep.

Fill in:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, freshly squeezed orange juice, and orange zest until well combined.
  2. In another bowl, whip cool heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the orange mixture until smooth and fully incorporated. Add orange food coloring, if desired, to achieve a vibrant color.

Assemble the Pie:

  1. Pour the orange cream mixture into the refrigerated graham cracker crust, spreading evenly.

Freezing the pie:

  1. Cover the pie with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight until melted.

Serve:

  1. Before serving, let the pie rest at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly.
  2. Top with whipped cream, orange slices, and orange zest if desired.
  3. Slice and serve this refreshing orange custard freezer pie.
