This pepper steak stir fry is thinly sliced flank steak 🥩 cooked with red and green bell peppers 🫑 in a savory sauce. A quick and easy meal that tastes even better than takeout 🥡!
Ingredients:
- 🥩 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 🫑 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 🫑 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 🧅 1 small onion, sliced
- 🧄 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 🧂 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 🌽 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 🍯 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 🍚 1/2 cup beef broth
- 🫒 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 🌿 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 🌶 Optional: 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Directions:

Prepare the Sauce:
- 🥣 In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, and beef broth. Set aside.

Cook the Steak:
- 🔥 Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- 🥩 Add the flank steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

- 🫒 Add the remaining 1 tbsp of oil to the skillet.
- 🧄 Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 🫑 Add the bell peppers and onion, cooking until tender, about 4-5 minutes.

- 🥣 Pour the sauce over the steak and vegetables, stirring to coat.
- 🌶 Optional: Add red pepper flakes for extra heat.
