CHINESE BEEF AND ONION STIR-FRY π₯©π§
Ingredients:
- 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Cooked rice, for serving
Directions:
- Marinate Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of sugar. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Prepare Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, water, and sugar. Set aside.
- SautΓ© Onions: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions and stir-fry until they are softened and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Cook Beef: Add the remaining oil to the pan. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for another 1 minute.
- Combine and Serve: Return the cooked onions to the pan and pour in the prepared sauce. Stir everything together and cook for another 2 minutes until well combined. Serve hot over cooked rice and garnish with chopped green onions.
