BEST-EVER PEPPER STEAK
Join Us in the Kitchen: Creating a Flavorful Flank Steak Stir Fry!
Gather These Ingredients:
- 1/4 cups low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
- 4 teaspoons packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon freshly minced ginger
- Cooked white rice, for serving
Let’s Get Cooking!
- Whisk together the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch in a medium bowl to prepare our delicious sauce. Set this aside for later.
- Let’s heat up a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over high heat. Once the oil is hot, it’s time to add our flank steak. Season it with salt and cook for about 8 minutes or until both sides are beautifully seared. After it’s cooked through, let’s transfer the flank steak onto a plate.
- We’re not done with our skillet yet! Add the remaining oil followed by the green bell peppers. Cook these for about 4 minutes until they’re tender. Now add in the garlic and ginger. Stir and cook until the aroma fills your kitchen.
- It’s time to reunite our beef with the skillet. Pour the sauce we prepared earlier over the beef and cook for about 12 minutes, stirring until the sauce is glossy.
- Once we’re done, remove from the heat and serve with fluffy white rice. Enjoy this mouth-watering meal you’ve prepared!
