BIG MAC SMASH TACOS

Ingredients:

For the Burger Patties:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (preferably 80% lean, 20% fat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Special Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

For the Tacos:

  • 6 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Dill pickle slices
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

Prepare the Special Sauce:

  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Mix well until smooth. Set aside.

Cook the Burger Patties:

  1. Divide the ground beef into 6 equal portions and roll them into balls.
  2. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  3. Place a ball of ground beef on the skillet and smash it down with a spatula to form a thin patty. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked through.
  5. Repeat with the remaining ground beef balls.

Assemble the Tacos:

  1. Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  2. Spread a generous amount of special sauce on each tortilla.
  3. Place a cooked burger patty on each tortilla.
  4. Top with shredded lettuce, finely chopped onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and dill pickle slices.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for a true Big Mac feel (optional).

Serve:

Serve the Big Mac-style smash burger tacos immediately with extra special sauce on the side.
