Instructions:

Prepare the Ribs:

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Bake the Ribs:

  1. Wrap each rack of ribs in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.

  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the Dr. Pepper, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Grill the Ribs:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap them from the foil.
  3. Brush the ribs generously with the Dr. Pepper barbecue sauce.
  4. Grill the ribs for 5-10 minutes on each side, brushing with more sauce as needed, until they are nicely caramelized and slightly charred.

Serve:

  1. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  2. Cut the ribs into individual portions and serve with any remaining Dr. Pepper barbecue sauce on the side.
