Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg pork ribs
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together ketchup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to make the sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the pork ribs and cook until browned on all sides.
  3. Add diced onion and bell pepper to the pan and sautΓ© until softened.
  4. Pour the sauce over the ribs and vegetables, stirring to coat evenly. Cover and let simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until the ribs are tender.
  5. If desired, mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry and add it to the sauce to thicken.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles. Enjoy!
