Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon
  • 1/4 cup chopped cooked Italian sausage

Instructions:

  1. Cook the ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add the vegetables: Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, and seasonings: Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  4. Simmer the sauce: Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, or until it has thickened.
  5. Assemble the tacos: Fill each taco shell with a scoop of the meat sauce. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped pepperoni, chopped cooked bacon, and chopped cooked Italian sausage.
  6. Bake or fry the tacos: Bake the tacos in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Alternatively, you can fry the tacos in a hot skillet until the shells are golden brown and crispy.
